Daniel J. Banko-Ferran

Welcome

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Better Government Lab, a joint research center of Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy and the University of Michigan’s Ford School of Public Policy. I work primarily in the fields of labor, behavioral, and health economics.

My research investigates the behavioral spillover effects of government policies on individual productivity and well-being. My recent work has examined policies relating to overtime work, plastic bag bans, and COVID-19 lockdowns. I use applied and experimental methods to investigate causal changes in outcomes including financial earnings, physical and mental health, and job satisfaction.
